    • Why Use Instructional Design Strategies in eLearning?

      An instructional design strategy is a high-level approach of how a particular subject will be taught. It encompasses the methods, techniques, and devices used to instruct learners.

    • What is a Strategy?

      Strategy is a long-term game plan or high-level plan to achieve one or more goals through the efficient and effective use of available resources. The steps involved to develop a strategy include:

      • setting a goal;
      • determining actions to meet the goal, and;
      • mobilizing the available and necessary resources to achieve that goal.

      What is an Instructional Design Strategy?

      An instructional strategy is a high-level approach of how we are going to teach a subject. Like any other strategy, the instructional design strategy begins with:

      The resources that are used to achieve these goals include the learning devices, presentation patterns, course structure and features, and the type of media that is used.

      Instructional Design Model

      So, what about Instructional Design Model? What is the difference?

      A model is a way of doing something or representation of a reality. Instructional design model is a set of guidelines on which the teaching approach of the instructor is based. Some examples of the popular ID models are ADDIE, GAGNE, Dick & Carey, and SAM.
